Sekhmet is an ancient Egyptian mythological figure, who was represented as a lioness-headed lady sitting on a throne. She is one of the members of the Memphis triad (Petah – Sekhmet – Nefertum).Her titles are the Great Lady Beloved Ptah, Ain Ra, Lady of War, Lady of the Two Lands (Upper and Lower Egypt), Lady of the Libyan Land, Mighty and many other titles.

Sekhmet wears a woven robe often colored red, which reflects her nature, as she was called (the lady of the red stripes), which may symbolize her nature as a goddess of Lower Egypt, or perhaps as a warrior goddess.
